What is Nations At War?

The Nations At War game series is a fast-playing series featuring platoon- and company-level combat during World War 2.

Each game puts you in command of infantry, tanks, armored vehicles, air units, and artillery. You maneuver forces across hex-based maps that represent real-world terrain such as cities, forests, rivers, and open ground. The system models line of sight, armor penetration, suppression, morale, and combined arms tactics.

Combat is direct and decisive. Units fire using weapon ranges and attack values. Armor units resolve hits against specific armor facings. Infantry relies on cover, support weapons, and leadership to survive and complete objectives. Air and artillery assets add operational depth and force you to plan carefully.

What Do You Receive In The Starter Kit

The Printed Edition: The Print edition includes full-color printed maps and a countersheet. The printed maps and counter sheet will be shipped directly to the customer.  To receive the Print Edition, please add this product to your cart and check out.  The customer will also need to download the NaW Starter Kit PDF manual, which includes the Scenarios, Player Aid Cards, and other materials needed to play.  The downloadable PDF is available in the download section at the bottom of this product page.   

The Print and Play Edition: The PnP edition is FREE, with no purchases required.  The customer will need to download the NaW Starter Kit PDF manual, which includes the Maps, counter sheet, Scenarios, Player Aid Cards, and other materials needed to play.  The maps and counter sheets need to be printed by the customer to play.  The downloadable PDF is available in the download section at the bottom of this product page, and no purchase is necessary.   For either edition, players will need two six-sided dice.

The system manages card draws, initiative order, and events while preserving the feel of physical decks.  Players can also find this in the product's download section.
