In Medieval, you are not just another ruler vying for power; you are the head of a secret cabal, manipulating kings, religions, and entire kingdoms to build a hidden empire in the 13th century. Great nations unknowingly serve your interests; their wars and Crusades only further your ultimate aim, dominance over the medieval world. But beware, for rival cabals have their own sinister plots, and a battle for the ages is waged not just on the battlefield, but in the shadows.

Game Overview

Regions will fall, rulers will bend to your will, and kingdoms will crumble as you expand your influence across Europe, the East, and North Africa. However, you're not the only one pulling the strings—other cabals are weaving their own conspiracies, using assassinations, papal schemes, spies, and military might to counter your plans. Can you outmaneuver your opponents and claim victory before the Mongol hordes bring an end to it all?

How to Play

Your turn consists of:

  • Playing Action Cards – Some are mandatory, forcing events that could work in your favor or throw your plans into chaos.
  • Collecting Income – The more provinces you control, the more wealth flows into your coffers.
  • Launching Attacks – Use armies, fleets, and deception to expand your domain or cripple your enemies.
  • Manipulating EventsUnleash the plague, excommunicate the unworthy, or claim heresy against rivals. Even the Mongol invasion can be used to your advantage.

Victory Conditions

Control the most provinces and spread your influence before the game ends. The final 7th Mongol invasion will bring the world to its knees, and the cabal with the greatest power at that moment will rule from the shadows.
