Lock 'n Load Tactical: Red Gauntlet
NATO’s Last Stand
Armor Thunders West
Red Gauntlet is an expansion for Heroes Against the Red Star in the Lock ’n Load Tactical system. This battle pack delivers eight new scenarios and a new map, bringing intense Cold War combat to the tabletop.
The scenarios span the full course of the war. The action begins with the first American counterattacks in the Gap as NATO forces struggle to slow the Soviet advance. Soviet Separate Air battalions drop behind the lines to clear the way for armored spearheads. Ambushes erupt against long columns of Soviet vehicles pushing west.
The fighting spreads across Western Europe. Armored formations clash outside Frankfurt. French forces fight desperately in the streets of Paris. Rear area raids strike supply depots. The campaign builds toward a final NATO attempt to halt the Soviet Black Guards Tank Division before it reaches Le Havre and splits NATO forces in France.
Each scenario features the Lock ’n Load Tactical impulse system, emphasizing fluid turns, squad-level combat, and individual heroics. Leadership, timing, and positioning determine whether NATO can blunt the Soviet juggernaut.
