The War of Brother Against Brother

Winning battles was never the hard part of the Civil War. Holding a country together while you fought it was.

Take Lincoln or take Davis, from 1861 through to 1865.

You are running armies and a nation at the same time. Cities, rivers and rail networks carry your supply and your reinforcements, so taking a place matters as much for what it lets you do next as for the flag over it. As the Union you blockade the ports, take the cities and press from several directions with the industry and manpower to afford it, provided the political support holds. As the Confederacy you have better generals and less of everything else, so you win by moving faster, defending well, and making the North pay enough to change its mind.

History Arrives as Cards

A card system brings in political decisions, technological advances, leadership opportunities and the things nobody planned for. The Emancipation Proclamation, the ironclads, and the rest of it, each landing on your diplomacy, your logistics and your armies.

Generals Are Not Interchangeable

Combat runs at the operational level and the man in command changes the answer. Grant, Lee, Sherman and Jackson lead across the major campaigns, with terrain, supply and morale deciding the rest.

The Rivers and the Coast

River fleets and coastal blockade control trade and movement across the whole continent. The Union blockade strangles Southern supply, and Confederate naval operations exist to make that harder than it should be.

Or Change It

Historical scenarios sit alongside alternate ones, so you can fight the war as it happened or find out what a different decision in 1862 was actually worth.

Victory and Glory: The American Civil War is a turn-based grand strategy game delivered as a Steam key. Steam keys cannot be refunded, credited or exchanged.
