Nations At War: Desert Heat 2nd Edition
Armored Warfare in the Burning Sands
Nothing in the desert is close. You see the dust before you see the tanks, and you have to decide what to do about it while they are still a long way out.
You take a formation and put it somewhere it can hurt something.
Italians, Germans and Vichy French on one side. British and Commonwealth troops, Americans and Free French on the other. Panzer IIIs and IVs with Tigers when they arrive, Crusaders and Matildas, Shermans and Italian M13/40s. Eighty-eights sited where they can see a very long way, and 25-pounders answering them. Stukas, Hurricanes, P-40s and Macchis overhead, and Bersaglieri and Fallschirmjäger on the ground.
You Never Know Who Moves Next
Your forces are activated by a formation deck, so nobody at the table knows how a turn is going to play out until the cards start turning over.
Play It Alone, or Build Your Own
The AI Enhancement Rulebook gives you solo and cooperative play. A scenario generator lets you design engagements of your own out of the forces and the ground you pick, so the box does not run out of battles.
Everything you need is in the box. Desert Heat 2nd Edition is a complete platoon-level tactical game in the Nations At War series.
