Lee At Gettysburg
Lee at Gettysburg: A Battle That Changed History
The Fight for Gettysburg Begins
Lee at Gettysburg from Lock ’n Load Publishing places you in command during the opening day of one of the most famous battles of the American Civil War. Set on July 1, 1863, the game recreates the dramatic first engagements of the Battle of Gettysburg as Confederate forces under General Robert E. Lee advance toward the town while Union troops rush to hold critical ground and delay the Confederate assault.
In this fast-paced historical wargame, players take command of either the Confederate or Union armies as they maneuver infantry formations, position artillery, and attempt to control the key ridges, roads, and approaches surrounding Gettysburg. The battlefield quickly becomes a contest of maneuver, leadership, and timing as reinforcements arrive and both sides struggle for control of the terrain that will determine the outcome of the battle.
Lee at Gettysburg focuses on accessible yet strategic gameplay, making it an excellent introduction to historical wargaming while still providing meaningful tactical decisions. Players must consider morale, unit facing, and close combat as formations clash across the rolling fields and ridgelines surrounding the town.
Multiple scenarios recreate different moments from the first day of the battle, including options designed for solitaire play. Each scenario challenges players to explore alternate strategies and see how their decisions might influence the outcome of one of the Civil War’s most pivotal engagements.
Lee at Gettysburg delivers a focused and engaging recreation of the first day of the battle, placing you in command as the armies of North and South collide on the fields and ridges that would become forever linked to American history.
